Dr. Michèle Schaal (she/her) has signed a contract with the publisher Peter Lang for the book The Art of Genre- and Genderbending: Virginie Despentes’s Authorial Politics, which is scheduled to be published in 2023 in the collection “Studies in Contemporary Women’s Writing.” This collection was established and is edited by Professor Emerita Gill Rye (University of London), leading specialist in the field of Contemporary French Women Writers, former Director of the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women’s Writing, at the Institute of Modern Languages Research at the University of London. Dr. Schaal is currently the international leading specialist of Despentes’s work, a French writer and feminist.
