The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Iowa State University is hiring Graduate Teaching Assistants for the 2022-2023 school year. Details about requirements and how to apply are below:

Job Description:

A half-time teaching assistantship for Women’s and Gender Studies 201 involves:

-Attending all lectures of WGS 201 and presenting one lecture during the semester;

-Teaching two recitation sections of 201;

-Grading student work;

-Participating in weekly meetings with the course instructor to coordinate and plan discussions in the recitation sections;

-Holding office hours (three hours/week) to meet with students

Job Requirements: Applicants must be currently enrolled ISU graduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A Women’s and Gender Studies background is highly desirable (including courses at the undergraduate or graduate level); preference will be given to students who have declared a Women’s and Gender Studies graduate minor.  Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
